ASL for Beginners Class

Cost: $120

A 6-week class to learn the basics of American Sign Language. Designed for beginners with little or no experience or background in ASL. Open to individuals ages 13+. By the end of the class, you will have learned the alphabet, numbers, how to greet someone and walk through a basic conversation exchanging personal information about yourself.

The class will be taught by Ruth Jackson. As a Deaf person, Ruth learned ASL firsthand. She has taught at the American School for the Deaf and has been teaching ASL at Fusion Academy for the past four years. Ruth also serves as the Department Head for Electives and World Languages at Fusion Academy. Ruth is excited to share the joy she has for ASL and Deaf culture with you!
