ASL Family Class

Families, join this 1 1/2 hour class designed to give an introduction to American Sign Language. This is a low key, fun class to give kids and adults a chance to learn some basics. Every ASL class will start with the ABCs and # 1-30 with different topics every time. This class will also include greetings, holiday and time signs. Kids of all ages are welcome and depending on the age of who attends, there will be games to increase knowledge and skills.
The class will be taught by Ruth Jackson. As a Deaf person, Ruth learned ASL firsthand. She has taught at the American School for the Deaf and has been teaching ASL at Fusion Academy for the past five years. Ruth also serves as the Department Head for Electives and World Languages at Fusion Academy. She is excited to share the joy she has for ASL and Deaf culture with you!
Cost is $25 per person.
